Cracker Barrel Has Lost Their Mind – PART TWO!

I published an article here on HBCNewsMonthly.com a few years ago about how Cracker Barrel had lost their mind. Within 72 hours, it received over 22,000 hits. At any given point, I could watch the statistics and there was anywhere between 50 to 100 site visitors reading that article 24/7 for 3 days straight! You can read it by clicking HERE. I wrote the article because I felt of the Lord to write it and I said what so many thousands were thinking.

And now for part two which, again, I feel led of the Lord to write. Cracker Barrel is sinking so fast! Why? Because they have left off the foundation of what made the company great. A wholesome, family restaurant where individuals and families could come and not worry about alcohol and foul language and where their children could be free from things that threaten their innocence. The very thing that set them apart and made them the Best Family Restaurant in America not too many years ago. When they should be promoting and still implementing this wholesome theme. Everyone I talk to about Cracker Barrel, almost without fail, is grieved at all these new “woke” changes! Adding the alcohol was the first nail in the coffin and now the new logo design. As of the writing of this article, August 22, 2025, the stock dropped almost 50% just because of that to the tune a $100 million dollar loss! Let’s pray to God all of you Christians who love the Lord and love Cracker Barrel that He will intervene and stir the board of directors to stop and desist all these radical changes before the ship sinks! What makes Chick-Fil-A® so mighty and successful is they aren’t trying to conform. They maintain that wholesome, pure brand. But Cracker Barrel used to be that to the casual dining sector and now they are going down in flames.

I’m writing this because I love this company and what they used to represent and because God laid it on my heart too! Because I used to work for them as a server for almost 9 years and because we still need more wholesome, family oriented, alcohol free restaurants in the casual dining sector. So please, if you are reading this article, share it with your churches, your Christian friends and call and write Cracker Barrel corporate. Plead with them to get back to common sense and to get the executive leadership changed and bring back wholesome. Bring back what made Cracker Barrel such an awesome restaurant and country store! And pray earnestly for God to intervene and give us favor in this cause.
